This was my fourth trip to Zion with the kids and 2nd with Amy and this time we met the Linane’s there. It did not disappoint. This trip is in my top 5 all time destinations. Rolling into Springdale, Utah at the base of the Zion National Forest reminds you and the incredible beauty of nature, how small we are in relation to everything, and the speed of your life instantly slows down a nice relaxing pace.
The Narrows is my favorite hike, and not always an option. Of our four trips to Zion two times the chance of flooding were above 30%, which we opted to not take the risk. This trip we were able to make the hike and we did it well. We went all the way to the end of Wall Street, which was 8.2Mile round trip and took us 6 hours and 20 minutes (8:53am to 3:20pm). If we left earlier we could have made it to the end at Big Springs which was another 1 mile from where we turned around, but we had to meet our shuttle with some of the COVID restrictions shuttles are a whole new dynamic and need to be reserved. I am OK not having gone to Big Springs though, as I hear its not special, but next time I will need to find out. The round trip was 6 hours and 20 minutes total.
A few learnings and tips if you make the trip
